About Us....
Cemetery District #5, which was formed in 1964, oversees the Kalama Cemetery and Martin's Bluff Cemetery. Three commissioners, whom county voters elect for six-year terms, are authorized to operate and maintain the cemeteries, which are supported by local taxes and the sale of lots. Cemetery District #5 has no District office; however, commissioners meet monthly at the Kalama Public Library. Meetings times are posted on the Library bulletin board and meetings are open to the public. Cemetery District #5 is subject to audits by the Washington State Auditor's office every three years; the newest accountability audit report is available from the State Auditor's office.
